The Oil Lie

Some one please tell me why there is a debate over whether we should drill here in the U.S. or not. It obviously doesn't matter whether we have more oil or not. The Saudis increased production 1 million barrels and the spinners (wish it were tbe band we would be better off) said that the oil production was already included in the price currently. They added an additional 200,000 barrels per day and the pundits said that if we increased oil production in the United States then the price would immediately fall. The truth is if they increase the amount of oil the United States produces they will just tell us that they already factored those supplies into the world figures any way. So what is really going on...

There was a Dot Com bubble and it bursted. There was a housing bubble and it bursted. And now there is a commodities bubble and it will burst as well. And when it does it is going to take the worlds economy along with it. If you think there was a problem before, wait til after the last bubble bursts. Can you say depression. The worst part of all of this is that short sighted investors who think they are making a killing in the market right now are going to be the very same people who take the largest loss. What do you think about the commodities bubble? Leave some comments your opinion counts.

giving respect to a humanitarian

We decided to give an opinion today about something other than politics. Tomorrow there will be a great deal to talk about in the world of politics. Today though we decided to talk about each of our own duty to give to the world we live in. After witnessing a PBS program for Roberto Clemente this entry is dedicated to the great humanitarian who happened also to be a Baseball legend. While watching the story of Roberto Clemente it became apparent that the greatest thing any of us can do is to passionately support our fellow man. Mr. Clemente was the epitome of a great states man. In a time when it seems that most of our sports heroes are known for their misgivings off the field, it is amazing to think about a figure who transcended sports. In 1972 Roberto Clemente boarded a plane with supplies for an earth shattering earthquake relief in Nicaragua. His plane was lost at sea. He died not as a baseball hero but as a good Samaritan. This week we also witnessed the end of the Oprah, "Big Give" Program. Everyone should take the time to find out how they can help someone less fortunate than themselves and lend your support to them. How do you give back to the world? What is it that you can show, give, do, say, etc. that will make a difference in the sight of all humanity that will give credence to your existence hear on earth for all generations to come? Leave your comments and remember to be honest. This is truly spin less opinion!

Good Morning America: After the Speech

Yesterday, America was invited by Senator Barack Obama to a discourse on race. Will America answer the call? Listening to a few talk shows, conservative and otherwise, the polarization has not stopped. Now, because we know there is plenty of spinning going on, we have to wonder how much of the polarization is actually race baiting on both sides of the aisle. It is disconcerting to say the least to hear only one opinion for 3-6 hours on some of these shows. And, each of these shows is at one point saying that there should be no difference placed based on race, and at the same time spending hours pontificating on race.

We'll not color this debate with any side one or the other but, we will invite you to join in on the debate and ask you not to spin but to give your own honest opinion. How do you feel about racial relations in the U.S.?

The new fight

Well, well, well, what a difference a day makes! It seems that most of the pundits were wrong but then again they are always wrong. Sister Hillary has come out of the dark and is attempting a resurgence. Brother Obama got slightly blind sided though judging by his demeanor he was prepared for either a win or a loss. Senator Mccain is the lone standing conservative voice out there right now. Things are shaping up to be quite interesting.

There is noise in Ohio that many conservatives went to the polls and voted for Hillary at the suggestion of many of the conservative talk show hosts, to sway the vote away from Senator Obama. Though it is not possible to prove who did what this is an official verbal paddling for the cads of the conservative party that would do such a morally debase thing. While at the polls you had to state that you believed in the policies of the candidates for whom you were voting. Guess what, you lied! How morally reprobate for people who, many of whom claim to be Christians. Would this were a court of law that all of you could be placed in contempt of court for perjury. Ah well, C'est s'erat.

Now we look to see more about policy on all sides. Who will show the strongest domestic policy? Who will show the strongest foreign policy? Will the in fighting stop? What do you think? leave comments and discuss amongst yourselves!

The Big Day Is Finally Here

Many of my friends and family think that I am a little bit crazy, because I live for this season. I like sports. I love family. But, there really isn't anything like election time. This is a time for hope renewed. A time to utilize the greatest power that any American has. And it does not matter who you are. One vote for one person, is the system that everyone (except the Super Delegates in the Democratic Party) has to live with.

On the Republican side of the aisle, it would seem that every thing has been all but sown up (at least according to the media). It amazes me that everyone wants to figure out who the winner is so badly, they almost skew the voters results to there predilection. So, it is going to be Senator Mccain by a landslide. Or, is it? Governor Huckabee has suprised all the pollsters, the pundits and the party panderers in the past what's to say he can't do it again.

Oh and on the Democrat's side of the aisle, depending on who you listen to Senator Obama and Senator Clinton both have it locked up. Who decided that driving by outside with a sign that says honk wins elections. And, when did we lose etiquette in this country why do we call presidents by their last names and not mention there titles? Why do we do the same for Governors, Mayors, Senators, and Congressmen, when did we get to this point in the policies of this country. What do you think? Leave some information and add to the disscussion in the comments area. Your opinion and your vote counts.

More Mud slinging?

One has to wonder if it is necessary to run negative ads in your campaign or not. John Edwards had planned to run a positive campaign 4 years ago. He said he wanted to run based on his ideas for changing the country from two Americas to one America. He got a sound trouncing as soon as the other folks in the race started throwing dirt and inuendos. Have we really turned into a country just looking for the low down on the candidates, or do we really want leadership. We have now come to the point in the campaign when many will do what ever it takes to win. I for one hope that the next leader of this great nation acts presidential, even before they win the office. What do you think?

Was it right?

Tonight on the NAACP Image Awards Stevie Wonder used his time on stage to make a political plea to America. Was it right of him to of done this, or not?

Dead Heats

This season the sports fans are betting hot and heavy. Can you call the trifecta? We have got three things to get at. 1) Who will win the Democratic race, I got your Back Barack, or I used to be the President for Real Hill? 2) Who will win the Republican Race, I've been militarily trained Mccain, or God makes a way for me Huckabee? 3) Who will win the White House, WE said we would get busy, but we're to busy sucking up to have our own agenda, and push for real change, we've been the head of congress for half a year and look at the difference we have made, Democrats or We haven't had a true Republican leader since Ronald Reagan, we tax and spend worse than the Dems but we don't tax so its called debt until the next regime comes in and then we can complain that they tax and spend, Republicans?

Those were some atrociously gramatically incorrect sentences but that probably drives the point home. America needs real leadership not just political rhetoric in the hopes of being elected. It is amazing the only things we hear about now are so politically important that we know everything about the candidates and what they will stand for, what and how they will do what they say they are going to do and why, NOT!!! And if one more candidate tells me you can get more information on my website I think I am going to scream. Here is a novel idea, How about you just tell us what your going to do and where you stand now while your on TV and the Radio and in the Newspaper. You are supposed to be convincing us to vote for you not us convincing ourselves. What kind of an election is this anyway? In the spirit of this non informative political race I am posting what is really important to the media... The music video parodies of all the candidates?

Why should you care?

It seems that a lot of people went through hell to get you the right to vote, but why should you care. After all Barack or Hillary, Mccain or Huckabee whats the difference your vote doesn't count for anything, right? I'll pick the one who looks like me. I'll pick the one who has the same politics as I do. I'll pick the one that looks the best. I might want to pick the one who needs my vote the most.

People please educate yourself on who is running and why!!!! I mean after all we voted the last president in based on the fact that he wouldn't let gay people get married and he was a Christian. We found out that had nothing to do with being in Iraq and spending all our money on their infrastructure while our bridges fell down. And we found out that just because the other party says they are going to do big things when they take office, it could be politics as usual. We need to make sure that the reason we vote for any of these people is because they can lead us where we need to be. So choose Barack because his platform speaks to your needs or choose Hillary because She speaks for you in her political platform. Choose Mccain because you like his policy on Iraq or choose Huckabee because he is going to do away with the IRS, but make sure you look at the candidates platform and see how they are going to do these things. Post your replies to this post. We are eager to see what you think and what you know!

Other folks talk about spinning

You know that there are people out there with television and radio shows who talk about not spinning and guess what? That's right... They spin and spin and spin. It's enough to give you a headache at the least, and regurgitate your lunch at the most. Why do these people lie. I don't know but this place here will have none of that. We don't have a political affiliation. We are not even libertarians. We don't have a class position, other than poverty should be eliminated by the use of good old fashioned capitalism, and capitalism should be allowed to exist in its natural form without being thwarted by attempts of some to stifle the propogation of it. The writer of this post attempted to call in to one of those shows and found out just how much spinning was really going on. There was so much spinning in fact, that the host of that show should be a mere infintesimal speck of weight. The spinning rose to the level of fabrication. I listened to the words that I said, changed into an affirmation of what the host wanted to speak about, though no such affirmation really existed. In fact, the truth is, the premise of my call was to argue the opposite of what the host was saying. So to make a long story short that will not be happening here. Post your opinions, but be sure of what you want to say, for we will not be cleaning it up for you here. Also important, this blog is for all ages, colors, creeds, etc. We believe in freedom of speech and expression but also reserve the right not to allow posts that are offensive in any manner to be published. If we find that type of content within these pages, we will take it down. Join the conversation. Get involved. And hold on because there is no centripetal force here. We go straight like Einstein said we will. STRAIGHT FORWARD UNTIL ACTED UPON BY AN EQUAL AND OPPOSITE FORCE.
